The Bluebacks were founded in April 2013.  Based in Corvallis, Oregon, we take our name from the legendary “ghost fish,”  or searun cutthroat trout found in Oregon’s coastal rivers.  These fish have been called “bluebacks” by old timers for generations.

Our chapter territory runs south to the Calapooia River, up to the North Santiam, east to the Cascades, and west to the Coast.

We hold chapter meetings at Watershed Fly Shop in Corvallis on the first Wednesday of each month from 7 to 9pm. We break from regular chapter meetings in June, July, and August.  Swing by the shop for more information on the Chapter, or to get the lowdown on where to fish in Oregon.
